Covington Gathering System
The Covington Gathering System (CGS) is a natural gas pipeline in Tioga County, PA connecting Marcellus shale gas producers in the area to the Tennessee Gas Pipeline. It is owned and operated by a wholly-owned subsidiary of National Fuel known as National Fuel Gas Midstream Corporation.
Construction on the CGS began in July, 2009, and it started flowing gas in November of the same year. It consists of eight miles of 12 inch high pressure gathering lines as well as dehydration facilities. The company planned to continue expanding the gathering system during the winter of 2009-10.
