Its 22 rigs were to be absorbed into Chesapeake subsidiary ''Nomac Drilling LLC'', which already owned 95 rigs--90 of these were under contract to Chesapeake. Edmond, Oklahoma-based Bronco Drilling Company, Inc. (NASDAQ:BRNC) is a provider of contract drilling services throughout the U.S. and Mexico. As of March, 2011, it had 22 operating rigs primarily deployed in the Bakken Shale, but the Marcellus shale was also a focus of its operations.
