Here is where some info about Equitrans Pipeline
should go. This article is still a stub and needs your attention. It does
not have a template and contains minimal information. Please dive
in and help it grow!

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based Equitrans, L.P. (Equitrans) is an indirect subsidiary of EQT Corporation that operates approximately 600 miles of natural gas pipeline providing gathering, storage and transmission in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. It has a daily capacity of 600,000 decatherms. As of December, 2009 Equitrans was in the process of being expanded and reengineered. Another 100,000 decatherms of capacity was to be added in 2010.

The Equitrans pipeline cuts across the central portion of the Marcellus shale fairway in northern West Virginia and western Pennsylvania. It transports gas produced by EQT and other producers to five interstate pipelines including Texas Eastern, Tennessee, Dominion, Columbia and National Fuel.

A report appeared in September, 2010 about Equitrans' Sunrise Pipeline Project which is to go in service in 2012. It was to be a 110 mile pipeline to be completed in two phases:

  1. a line from Doddridge County, WV.
  2. a second one from Taylor County, WV going into southwestern Pennsylvania.
