CGGVeritas is a French-based geophysical services company whose U.S. headquarters is in Huston, Texas. Its activities include acquisition of seismic data and processing of seismic data and well logs.

In August, 2010, the company was reported to be planning a major seismic testing program over a few years that was to cover Centre, Clearfield, Clinton and Lycoming counties. In Centre County, CGGVeritas was active in Burnside Township and the Karthaus region, and planned to cover an 85 square mile area in Centre and Clearfield counties. This data was to be licensed to interested parties.
