Energy Services had previously acquired GasSearch Drilling Services Corporation in January, 2008 for $23.5 million is stock and cash.

Through its S T Pipeline acquisition, ESA built the Big Sandy Pipeline in Kentucky for EQT Corporation. The 70 mile line was officially opened in April, 2009.
