Harrisburg, Pennsyvania-based PennFuture (aka Citizens for Pennsylvania’s Future) is a statewide educational and public advocacy environmental group that advocates a natural gas severance tax in Pennsylvania as well as a balanced approach to drilling the State Forests' Marcellus shale gas deposits. The group does not oppose drilling per se, but wants the environmental impacts on air and water taken into consideration and protecting open spaces.
