Indiana, PA-based Superior Well Services, Inc. (NASDAQ GS: SWSI) is an oilfield services company with a specialty in technical pumping and down-hole surveying services. In August, 2010, Superior was purchased by Hamilton, Bermuda-based Nabors Industries Ltd..

In February, 2009, Superior was in the process of setting up a service center in the renovated Owego & Harford rail yard in Owego, New York near Binghampton. The center will serve energy companies developing the Marcellus shale. Typical activities Superior does in support of natural gas drillers are casing well borings and stimulating well production through hydro-fracturing.
